So it’s day 10 of the challenge and things are starting to get…challenging! Today we do 50 sit ups, 50 crunches, 30 leg raises and 38 seconds in plank. You don’t want to give up, right? So start breaking things down and get it done that way. 50 of anything is easy to divide. 2 sets of 25, 5 sets of 10…whatever it takes to walk away feeling that sense of accomplishment that comes with participating in a challenge.
Several people have asked me if it’s OK to do things in sets, or to take a different day off, or even if it’s OK to quit because they know they are never going to do 150 of anything. This is not for me to decide or to give permission! This is YOUR challenge and every workout should be YOUR workout. Some have come back and told me though they are continuing with the 30 days, they have now incorporated ab work in their daily routines. This is a very positive thing. But do remember that a challenge is never supposed to be easy. The easy part is making the commitment. The CHALLENGING part is sticking to it….
Me? I can’t say. I am just taking this one day at a time. Today, game on!
