I put this on FaceBook but had to put up a link on here, too, for those that don’t do the FB, thing. This song was produced by the father of a good friend of my sister’s back in 1964. It was voted the number one new song on the AM “pop” radio station of the time. As I remember the chorus is song by my sister’s old friend Ida (daughter of the producer). My memories might be slightly twisted (I was 7 at the time) but I do have great memories of this and the red vinyl 45 we had.
So worth a listen, 50 years later. While it was known they would be stars, I can’t imagine ANYONE would know just how famous they would go on to become. Last night’s Grammy tribute to the Beatles was fabulous. I thought Ringo had wonderful stage presence and warmth. Paul has always been a superstar. I know I speak for all of us when I say how missed John and George were, and are, but they are not really gone when the gift they left will last till the end of time.
Enjoy this girl band tribute, because …They Understood Them!

I watched too. Thought it was fabulous too. Brought tears to my eyes. Especially loved Katie Perry’s version of “Yesterday”.
Paul and Ringo were great, and it was so good to see them together!

Judy…I am not usually a Katie Perry fan but she did do a great job and looked beautiful. I loved Alicia Keys…and Stevie Wonder…and—I loved it all…glad Mitch set the DVR so we can watch again. I woke up in such a fabulous mood and it’s lasting all day. I am so grateful for the music 🙂
