So week 2 of Biggest Loser. I have watched it enough seasons to know it takes a few weeks to get to know the contestants. I usually have a favorite from the start and I don’t this time. Rueben should be pretty good at winning but losing weight may not come as naturally as singing. I liked him on Idol and I like him still. I like Hap, too. How can’t you like a big guy with 3 little girls at home. David looks like he has serious eye of the tiger. The power lifter girl is no doubt a serious competitor, but I am not sure how I feel about her yet. Some of the girls are so pretty. I imagine them at the makeover.
I liked the way they did the elimination last night. Rolling the dice and seeing who’s face came up, it was ONLY that team member who’s weight would count for the entire team. The reason I liked it, was because they knew this was how it was going to go down, and they each knew they might be the one responsible. I would think this is some great incentive to do one’s best. Fernanda ended up going home after putting up a weak loss of just a couple of pounds. So in the first 2 weeks of the season, it is team Jillian that put up the lowest numbers. I do not believe that is reflective of Jillian’s training. Last week she chose to use her save, so Fernanda was the first to actually leave the ranch. Whatever competition or reality show one is in, it always is miserable to be the first one out, so I feel for her, but I am glad she didn’t lose the weigh in and have another team member going home.
The one hour format goes pretty quickly. Too quickly? Not sure yet. There seems to be less crying and less waiting for the number on the scale…both good.
Back to reality, and our gym…Ellen will be subbing both my classes today, my Friday 11:30 class and both my classes Monday. I will be enjoying some down time with family and celebrating mine and Mitch’s 32nd (gulp) wedding anniversary. We may be getting old, but daily doses of peace, fitness and of course love, have certainly kept me feeling young and for that I am very grateful.
Now that the camel has made it appropriate, I wish you a hump day filled with peace, fitness and…love….of course!
