An English major at the State University of New York, New Paltz, Bonni Zipp began her career as a writer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Quickly becoming passionate about the way muscles work, Bonni entered the fitness industry after marrying Mitchell and relocating to South Florida. She has been teaching group exercise classes in Broward County since 1981 and is certified through the reputable Aerobic Fitness Association of America, since its inception. As an advocate for geriatric wellness, she has been an instructor for the award winning SilverSneakers program since the mid 90s, as well as teaching senior fitness programs in gyms, assisted care facilities and nursing homes. Always sensing the CORE to be the center of all workouts, she became curious about Joseph Pilates and his methodology. With help from OneonOne Pilates in Fresno, California, she found her way to training in Pilates mat work at Polestar Pilates in Miami, FL, in 2001. Over the past 2 decades she has continued to learn and teach Pilates, yoga and most often a blend of the two.
Bonni teaches a wide variety of group exercise classes and also does personal training with a handful of motivated and devoted clients. Her classes are noncompetitive, non-intimidating and easy to follow, while still insuring a great workout! She also combines her love of fitness and writing, in contributing articles for trade magazines such as Natural Muscle.. With both sons grown, married (and one grand daughter) Bonni, her husband of 39 years, and their feline, Roxy, live, work and play in Coral Springs, Florida. As her life mission is to spread the word on why “wellness works” and all things peace and fitness, Bonni is very excited to bring her knowledge and experience to YOU.
