Yesterday, I watched the second episode of Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition. Eh. I feel basically the way I did after the first episode. Any show about positive transformation is better than most any other show on TV, but this one goes way too quickly and leaves too much information out. What do they eat? As Carol mentioned, we never really see this, though this week they showed us how he made Alex’s bacon cheeseburger less fattening…really?!?! Who eats bacon cheeseburgers and loses over 200 pounds in a year? The show also seems to follow a very specific formula and after only 2 weeks, it seemed a little redundant and predictable. Will I watch next week? Abs-olutely.
Thanks to those who came to classes last night. You brought great energy and even though I know many of you got tired of the “get your weights/put your weights down” routine, mixing the weight training into the cardio is a great way to keep heart rates up and burn lots of calories, while getting in the all important strength training. In my opinion, it makes the hour go pretty quickly, too. As for the 7pm “yoga/Pilates stretch and de-stress” class, you all allowed yourselves to get totally untied and melt into that mat to get the most out of YOUR time. You are all awesome.
FYI…Gardein products are buy one get one free at Pubix this week. Though I have backed off of them a bit because of the sodium, they are great to have in the freezer.
Though the Heat lost by 3 last night to tie up the series, it’s OK. It will make winning the championship much more exciting when they are back here in Miami.
Off to start a busy morning. Thanks for stopping in!

I loved the class last night-gave me a great workout as did this mornings class (in spite of the music problem.)
The 7 o’clock tuesday class gives everyone a wonderful way to destress. We love you Boni!
Yeah-Heat lost-but we will prevail.

I enjoyed both Tuesday classes also. I LOVE the cardio/weight combo and moving back and forth between the two. The hour was over before I even knew it!
