US citizen Robert Levinson was kidnapped from Kish Island, Iran in March of 2007. Since then he has been held hostage against his will for over 2,100 days. Good morning. Many of you must know the story of Bob Levinson as it has been in the news for too many years. Bob and his family are from my town of Coral Springs and Kyle went to school and is friends with one of his sons. I won’t give you all the details, as you can easily find tons of stories about him (and I will post some below) but I am asking you this morning to please sign the petition asking our government to make his rescue a priority. I am not so computer savy, so I don’t know which of the above links will work, but hopefully one of them will. If not, please copy and paste or retype into your browser and help this family out. The site is safe and it will ask you to set up an account with a password, so it will take a minute or two of your time, but I hope you will all do it. They are getting closer to the number of signatures needed, and I saw mention of just that, the other night on the news. No, we shouldn’t need a petition to get Bob back with his family, but apparently we do. Thank you in advance and if you could possibly pass it on, via email or social networking that would be great and I would know that my taking the time to blog this morning was perhaps my most worth while entry to date. Let’s use this social networking to make positive things happen.
Speedy recovery to Fred, who will once again be missed at the gym this morning. Happy 10th anniversary to Jane and Adam…and many more. Happy Friday everyone.
