This morning I would like to dedicate my blog, with gratitude, to my “gym,” students, who motivate me in ways I don’t think I could EVER do in return. From stories of surviving the Holocaust, organ transplants, cancers of all types, loss of children and other loved ones to our very own biggest loser stories, I am always amazed at the energy in the room at all my classes. Last night a relatively newer student in her 70s, who happens to be in awesome shape for ANY age, shared her story of surviving not one, but two brain aneurysms 69 days apart, some ten years ago. To watch her move through yoga and Pilates postures, one would have NO idea of what she has been through! Last week, another middle aged student shared her story of losing about 300 pounds, despite a disability she was born with. Wow.
And here is the one thing I know for sure. People who care enough to take care of themselves in such a positive way, also care a great deal about others. This is why the energy in the room is so wonderful and why I have the best job in the world. Thank you for sharing your incredible energy and your inspirational stories and for motivating me every single day! Never give up and never stop sharing. Much love.

Teachers like you energise us to push ourselves to do just a little more than we thought we could. I can’t tell you how many times I come into the gym dragging, but as soon as I see you and the music starts-I feel so elated, my mood changes and I feel so much betterabout everything!
Thanks for always bringing your energy-thats what we feed on!
