In order to try to lean into what is being called a digital Sabbath, or more formally a National Day of Unplugging,I will be limiting my time spent on my computer, my tablet and my cell phone today. The Sabbath Manifesto is a creative project designed to slow down lives in an increasingly hectic world. I am all over slowing down so I will make this my one computer visit of the day, just to remind you all to set your clocks ahead before you go to sleep tonight.
This day, happens to be my favorite day of the year. Not only because I look so forward to the clock change, but also because it is TODAY. I will be celebrating it with a little more presence since I will be making sure to NOT be looking at my texts, my Facebook, my email, etc. Instead, I will be spending human to human time, exercising at the gym this morning, as well as doing some meditation and reflection and hopefully accomplishing the tasks at hand for this afternoon, which include a nice lunch out, strolling beautiful downtown Las Olas and gift shopping.
Whatever you do, remember to enjoy the moment and if you want to participate in the Manifesto, simply UNPLUG and enjoy the quiet. Much love…

How long does it take to unplug? Looks like all the exercise you’ll need for the day.
Good idea though. I like the premise.

IT WAS GREAT TO UNPLUG! It’s very liberating, to say the least. Not being able to look things up is the hardest.
