Yesterday, when visiting Alicia Silverstone’s site thekindlife.com, I learned that OREOS are vegan! This was big news to me. Not so much because I want to eat them, but because that makes them another one of the foods that is just quintessentially delicious, vegan or not! And, admittedly, I WILL be buying them for tonight’s dessert table and I might even dunk one or two. There will also be rainbow of fruit as it is the season! It’s (whole wheat) pasta night and I am also going to be daring and try making some sort of chicken cutlet parmigiana dish, using Gardein chicken, of course and Daiya cheese (available at Whole Foods). I will let you know how that experiment works out. Again, the beauty of this dinner crowd is that they are easily satisfied and Pete always tells me everything is delicious so it’s always a pleasure to try new things. I will make sure to make a great big salad and lots of fruits and veggies to make sure our plates are half-full!
I am excitied to announce our growing SilverSneakers program at Tamarac Fitness Center. Tomorrow, Ellen starts her classes, bringing our schedule to 8 class choices a week! Spread the word and make sure to pick up a new class schedule at the front desk. I am planning on adding a yoga stretch class in the near future, for yoga = peaceandfitness.
Have a great VFT. Give some thought to your food choices. In keeping YOUR plate half-full of fruits and veggies, you will not only be doing what’s good for YOUR body, but also for the environment and the animals, too.
Let’s hope our trio of boys, James, Bosh and of course, dunkin’ DWade, come together tonight so that when the final buzzer sounds, the Heat emerge victorious. Then they can come back home and finish this thing off, right.
