“Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights.” ~Pauline R. Kezer
Carole’s comment suggested my title for today’s blog entry. There is an old cliche about how zebras stripes don’t change. Though that may be true, EVERYTHING changes. We are not who we were. We have this day to start to become who it is we want to be. To live a life that reflects our very own values. As written so beautifully by Mitch Albom, “we are NOT our past.”
Sometimes we create the change, sometimes change happens and we are forced to evolve. This could be at work, at play, in our relationships, or in our own soul. I believe as we change, we are afforded a great opportunity to grow. I certainly have some changes going on in my lilfe. Thanks, Lisa, for putting an entirely positive spin on things!
And thanks, Carole for that matzoh ball soup recipe and your constant friendship. I tweaked the recipe a bit and matzoh ball soup we had! It wasn’t perfect, but it WAS perfect for Peter, who came in with a cold. Soup is so much better than medicine for a cold…especially with that dill in there! Derek commented on how good it looked and smelled before he even put the spoon to his mouth. I just love feeding those “kids.”
Congrats to my websmaster who is taking his talent to the next level. More about that next week. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
As this work weeks nears an end, I hope that you can embrace the changes in your life and always make lemonade out of lemons. Thanks to everyone for all your input, comments, suggestions and mostly just for sharing! Though I may not reply to each comment, I do read them first thing in the morning and look forward to them as well as the emails, which I DO and WILL always respond to ASAP.
Have a fantastic Friday. Happy Birthday to my father-in-law. What a special guy!
Much love to all. May your changes be positive and help you grow and reach new heights.

This is so true. I do not take anything for granted. I feel more blessed now than ever for the ever lasting love my husband & I have. I appreciate more the wonderful family and friends we have. I don’t take our health for granted and treasure our love-of-life attitude.
Judith–you and Fred are an inspiration to anyone who meets you. You look at one another as if it were your first glance at one another…your loving, caring and incredibly positive attitudes are certainly a gift to me! oxox
