Upon a recommendation from Rita, I listened to a youtube video (really audio) of a piece by Dr. Chopra called Blissful Sleep. I have to admit, when I tried to listen to it the first time, I was reclining (even though he said to sit comfortably) and…I couldn’t stay awake! It was mid-afternoon and I kept dozing off, realizing I had been missing parts. Yesterday, I skipped all the breath work in the beginning, and just as Rita originally suggested, I fast forwarded to the part about a beach visualization. It was relaxing, delightful and I highly recommend! Just go to youtube and enter in Blissful Sleep with Deepak Chopra. I found some of the initial breathing techniques to actually be uncomfortable and I wasn’t happy with his counting. There is more relaxation breathing after the beach segment, which I will listen to and try this weekend, but I had to share what I did enjoy.
