Apparently, many of us were confused and concerned about these possible changes in the zodiac and how it effects us. My feelings align with those that feel they were BORN under a certain sign and will continue to be connected to that sign. This new zodiac is a big source of debate amongst the astronomers as they have always known about the “drift” in the sun, and most are not willing to accept the change or a 13th sign. As my client and friend Jane texted me with great certainty “I already decided I am not going to accept the change,” and I am with her. Born under the sign of the goat, I yam what I yam. Thanks to all of you for your interesting reactions to this “news.”
Now, as promised, I will share, almost word for word, Deepak Chopra’s meditation as seen on Dr. Oz 2 weeks ago. While it will be hard for you to read and DO at the same time, if you just read this a few times, you will pretty much remember what to do. It’s quick and simple. REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR ANSWERS.
Put your feet on the ground, so you don’t cross them. Have your hands open (palms up) on your lap so they’re receptive. Close your eyes. Put your attention on your heart and just for a few seconds express gratitude by thinking of all your blessings. Count all your blessing because we have many reasons to be grateful. Now, keeping your attention on your heart, ask yourself a few questions. WHO AM I? Don’t try to figure out the answer, just ask the question and let your heart respond. WHAT DO I WANT? WHAT IS MY PURPOSE? WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY? Now, let go of all of that and just observe the sensations in your body. Just simple awareness. And now, from there, you can stop doing that and keep your eyes closed. Put your attention on your heart again and with a little focus and a little attention try and sense your heart beat either as a sound or as a sensation. Really focus on your heart and sense your heart beat as a sound or a sensation. Relax into your body. If you want, you can yawn or move or stretch and then gently, open your eyes.
Once again, remember that you are not looking for answers. This short meditation exercise is designed to fire the neurons of different parts of your brain. Chopra mentions that this is all proven effective through watching the brain on MRIs. He claims you can become an expert at this meditation in no time, helping to lower blood pressure in the way that beta-blockers and diuretics do! “Neurons that fire together, wire together.”
Enjoy your Saturday. Fill it with peace, fitness, and don’t forget to fire up those neurons!

Bonni – I LOVE this meditation. It’s short and simple and comfortable. I was always physically uncomfortable with traditional meditation and my mind was always wandering making me feel like I was doing it wrong. This meditation is very specific about just ASKING the questions and NOT searching for answers and since there’s no time to dwell on the questions I am able to easily stay on task. I really enjoy ending each class this way and hope we can continue to do that. Thanks for sharing this with us.
