Every year around this time, we find 2 otters swimming freely in the canal behind our home. Though I hadn’t seen them yet this season, yesterday Blaze started barking at something her heard in the canal. It took me a second or two to realize that what I was watching was a whole family of otters swimming as if they were practicing for a synchronized swimming show. While I wasn’t nearly quick enough to grab my phone to take a picture (or even better a video) I took a mental video and for me there is nothing that really compares to watching Mother Nature in action.
Ironically (but not really because even though we are on opposite sides of the country, we are almost always on the exact same page) Carole posted this video on her Facebook page. More of Mother Nature, this time with a kitty and a dolphin. If you haven’t seen it yet, enjoy! Of the many things I am grateful for, I am incredibly grateful for the animals.
Hey there friend o’ mine! I LOVED seeing the otters on the opposite side of the canal when I was visiting you! And I TOTALLY LOVE that Blaze alerted you to their presence! Traveling with you on this journey sure is fun!!
