If you stayed with the ab challenge this weekend, you did a combined total of 135 sit ups, 175 crunches, 84 leg raises and spent just under 2 minutes holding plank. I am happy to say, though I considered swapping out my rest day for tomorrow, I did manage to complete both days. Yesterday was the first day I broke the sit ups into 2 sets and actually did one set, then tweaked the crunches to get my obliques involved and did all of them. I did all the leg raises and then did the second set of 35 sit ups before holding plank….First (and easier) half of the challenge, complete! Today we rest. At least from the ab challenge.
Hoping all the dads, everywhere, had a special Father’s Day. I picture mine sitting in his big recliner in the sky, watching all day sports, rooting for his teams, eating “polly” seeds and drinking from a 2 liter bottle of soda. I know my father in law in NJ got to spend time with Ellie’s family and here on the home front, Mitch and I, kids afar, hit the beach and the pool and had an huge grilled feast before watching the Heat blow their last chance of the season. It’s OK. How many rings can these guys wear anyway?
Get out there and make the most of your Monday. Make sure to chisel out time for your fitness and always be at peace.
