TEN WAYS TO GOOD HEALTH
Less alcohol, more tea
Less meat, more vegetables
Less salt, more vinegar
Less sugar, more fruit
Less eating, more chewing
Less words, more acting
Less greed, more giving
Less worry, more sleep
Less driving, more walking
Less anger, more laughter
The above comes from a tea cup that I purchased at the Morikami Gardens gift shop. I love the message and after searching this morning (for about one hour) for a great quote to post this New Year’s day, I came up empty handed and then remembered the cup.
Wishing you a hangover free day and a clear mind to move into 2011. Always remember that you have much more control over your body, mind and destiny than you even know. Whatever it is you want for you, get busy! It won’t come to you–you must go out and get it. Not a one of us can expect our desired results (in the gym, at work, in our relationships and really in ALL aspects of life) unless we do the work. Perhaps the first step in seeing our goals through, is accepting that fact. Then, perhaps, we can figure out how to turn that work into play. As David Walters said “An hour of basketball feels like 15 minutes. An hour on a treadmill feels like a weekend in traffic school.” Think about all the activities that make YOU happy and figure out a way to use them to help make your life more complete.
With the last of 2010 washed away, I wish for you all the wisdom, discipline and follow-through to keep reaching for your goals.
