Time for the really quick summation of last night’s BL. The teams had to switch trainers. As a trainer, I would almost always see this as a good thing. Talk about switching up routines. Since I eat a light dinner while I watch, having just gotten home from work, I had to fast forward through the whole emotional thing with Buddy and the child he lost. Sorry. It was too sad for dinner time! The challenge involved finding weight plates in a mud pit, the winning team winning a 2 pound advantage AND the team that would lose the weigh in would have a member voted off by the OPPOSITE team. I really like Emily but she totally, totally, caused the black team to lose the challenge. So much for changing up workouts, the weigh ins were pretty weak. (Not for real life, just for BL life). At this point we know that the game is really on and it will be someone “threatening” that gets sent home, but lucky for Emily, a big threat (and a beautiful woman) she had the biggest weight loss on her team, and when they lost the weigh in, it was Cassandra that got voted off. She was so sad, I cried for her. Then I cried happy tears when I saw her after losing 90 pounds in total, moving to NYC, looking for a job at Conde Nast as a writer and photographer and looking very, very happy. I just can’t help but wonder why last week they did NOT show Chism’s “at home” video. Weird. I did see him on yesterday’s Today Show and he was still losing weight.
I also watched an episode of Dr. Oz about anorexia. It starts to make my head and heart that everyone is seeking THE perfect body and perfection is elusive. When I recently bought my used Mini Cooper, I was at first upset that the near perfect car had a little scratch on the side. I quickly decided I would NOT fix it, and it would remind me that perfection is very over-rated.
I once had borrowed a t-shirt from a friend. It said “I feel happy, healthy and terrific.” I never returned it. I brought it to Florida and wore it proudly through my pregnancies (it was pretty big!) There is NOTHING like feeling those 3 words. Way better than perfect, I promise. Though I talk an awful lot about ….diet and exercise…. it is health, happiness, balance and peace that really matter most.
Speaking of exercise, I just saw the 3 new fitness trends that are going on in Miami, which was good timing because just yesterday I was thinking about how there really haven’t been any big deal, new workouts. One is a cardio powered Pilates class on machines (nothing really new there but somehow fast and furious and Pilates just don’t go together for me, though I get it). The second was a cardio class with drumsticks. I saw this on TV a few weeks ago. It’s really nothing different but the drumsticks make it fun and musical, too. I can see enjoying something like that once in a while. The third was yoga on a wake or surf board out in the ocean. Ummm….talk about some core control.
Thanks for stopping in and thanks for all your support. I appreciate those of you who shared the link about the soup kitchen, and all your support regarding it and ALL! May you go through your day feeling happy, healthy and terrific. I am pretty sure that it doesn’t get better than that! To Kyle and teamreferrin, have fun, be productive and stay safe!

I believe that weghit loss always starts from mindset. This is the reason why i am able to lose 15kg in 2 months and maintain for 3 years straight, all the way till my pregnancy.1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?6) Then when do I want to take action? Some solutions I can offer you for diet:Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juiceLunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggsDinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinnersIf you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weghit loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class
