Watching BL, without a favorite there, is definitely not the same as having someone to root for. The challenge made the contestants look like they were doing one of those funny challenges on the Ellen Show. How totally embarrassing that Emily, who we have known as “the athlete,” since episode 1, came in last place. That must have pushed her already very low self esteem right into the ground. I did, however, like the idea of the “white elephant,” prizes and some of those prizes were pretty cool, like shopping with a celebrity, an extra vote at elimination, and a one pound advantage…and by the end of the challenge, I had a new favorite–Jeremy. How sweet was that trading his shopping with a celebrity spree for a 1 dollar bill, with his sister, Conda. What a nice guy!! He should definitely win, and girls should definitely want to go out with him…I know I should hate Conda for her attitude, but I don’t. She is strong and a fighter and I like that.
So Conda picks Kim to go shopping with her and the unknown celeb, who turns out to be a very beautiful and very pregnant Jessica Simpson. Fun times! At her showroom, Simpson tells them they can have anything they want, clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, etc., for free. They try on lots of things and have a blast and that looked like most every girls dream, especially after losing tons of weight!
The show was only 90 minutes last night, so the weigh-in came pretty quickly and alas it’s time for the dreaded yellow line, where 2 people fall below and the rest of the contestants get to vote one off. It is Kimmie and Emily that fall below and the votes are pretty mixed, but it is Mark’s extra vote that will make the difference and it is Emily who gets voted off and off goes the fridge light. When we see her now she is looking very beautiful and her weight is down to 174. For the first time we learn that she sings…opera…and like last year’s Olivia, she sings opera REALLY beautifully. I don’t know who did so much damage to that girl’s self-esteem, but I do hope she understands how pretty, strong and talented she really is.
Next week the remaining 8 are off to Hawaii. Nice. I’ll be watching and routing for the nice guy!
With several other things on my mind this morning, I will hold the thoughts till tomorrow. Hope to “see” you then. Thanks for stopping in for the BL update and a little peaceandfitness.
