“People feel so strong about meat and milk. I wish they felt this strong about peace.”
–Arian Foster,
Two-time Pro Bowler with 32 touchdowns in 3 NFL seasons who, less than a month before training camp opens, announced he has gone to a vegan diet. Along with my Miami Dolphins, I will be following the Houston Texans, and in particular Foster, to see how his plant-based diet works for him this season.
Around my house today, lots of cooking and baking as we prepare to celebrate Derek’s upcoming next chapter of life. The other day on the news I learned a new word—Sharenting. It’s when parents share too much information about their kids on the Internet. I don’t want to be accused of sharenting, so I am going to keep this short and sweet. Thursdays will never be the same around here, but I am incredibly grateful to have had these past 4 or so years of having Derek and his friends come feast, laugh and be a part of our family. Look out California…here he comes.
As my great friend Joy always says “that was good, and this is good.” As long as everyone is happy, it’s ALL good. Wishing you happiness and hopefully a meatless meal…or two!
