Swim season has officially begun! After coming home from the beach yesterday, and NOT going in the ocean because the waves were a little too rough for me, I decided even though the pool is still on the cold side, it was time! After repeating the mantra “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” 3X, (it’s a ritual) I went in. Since it was my rest day, I only swam 10 laps but boy did they feel refreshing and inspiring. With my summer goal of 1000 laps, that’s 10 down and 990 to go before it gets too cold again.
Swimming is a great way to get in added fitness without putting stress on joints. If you have a pool in your yard, your community or your fitness center, consider adding some swimming into your routine. Your body and soul will thank you in so many ways!
