Happy Friday, everyone. Sylna, how nice to wake up and find your comment. It’s a gift, actually, to find my students and friends checking in here and offering feedback and their perspective on things, as well. I also love the emails that I get, like last night, just before going to sleep, when I found one from my SilverSneaker student, Don, letting me know how much meditating has helped him at a time he was most concerned with some health issues. Thank you everyone for your open minds, your ability to impact positive change upon yourself and others. I love the feedback and hearing your perspective on things.
As I sit here typing, I am listening to the morning news on the Today Show. About the only good news is in the world of basketball. Congratulations to the LA Lakers on their big win last night. More good news- if you are waking up this morning and rains have not flooded your land, tornados have not wreaked havoc in your backyard or oil is not washing up on your shore, you (we) have much to be thankful for. Sometimes, especially when things are at their worst, laughter can be the best medicine. So while one might wonder what this video has to do with fitness, or peace, I am CERTAIN that their are times when if we don’t laugh, our health will suffer greatly and our sense of peace will be seriously rattled. This is not my opinion, its scientifically proven.
I hope this video will provide just a couple of minutes of levity at a time when levity is hard to come by. I thought it was hilarious (in a kind of sad and frightening way) Thanks to Mitch for sharing this. Just click and enjoy…

I love the RSS link, Bonni. I also read all about your fantastic son on his link. You must be bursting with pride!!! (and rightfully so)
I think that I mentioned this a long time ago, but it is worth repeating. One of my very favorite things to do in life is laugh…..really laugh. It just make those endorphins swell in my body. As a matter of fact, my New Year’s Resolution was to laugh at least once a day. Yes…..it does get hard to try to keep that resolution and there are MANY days that I do not, but some days I laugh a lot and that compensates for the dull days. Thanks for the laugh today!!!

And let’s not forget about the song “I Love to Laugh”, from Walt Disney’s film Mary Poppins. sung in the film by Ed Wynn. Here’s a youtube link to it:

Rita…Thanks, I have to say I am always proud of my kids…they make much better choices than I did when I was in my 20s!
