Big twist to Biggest Loser last night as one person was granted immunity and a chance to go home for a week with their trainer. The catch was that person’s weigh in would be the only one to count for their team. In a weird, random game of chance, Sunny “wins.” What a double edged sword, having responsibility for her entire team. The rest of the black team is instructed to NOT be complacent and work harder than ever in his absence. Excited to go home, Sunny knows she has a lot of working out to do and Bob is concerned she will be distracted. Suffice to say, he did NOT let that happen. Their workouts on her Texas ranch were the highlight of last night’s episode.
I hated the challenge, though it was tied into the information about the evils of sugar laden soda. Climbing through a tangled web of wires, they would carry 2 full glasses of soda to pour into their cylinders. Whoever filled them first would win 2 week packages at the Biggest Loser ranch to give as a “gift” to someone else. Hmmm…is that really a gift? What if the person doesn’t want to go? Just saying. Red team wins as they should. Their youthful muscles and nervous system would seem to have the edge on this one. Poor Bonnie actually fell, screamed, panicked, but was fine.
Last chance workout finds Anna and her team of 2 in the pool and Bonnie is NOT happy with Anna at all. It was somewhat uncomfortable for me to watch. Bonnie has some serious issues and personally, I think she needs to go home and not bring Becky down, but that’s just my opinion. Dolvett makes an appearance and is very concerned about his teams playful attitude. Could have been triggered by Vinny playing with his stomach, which he has named. Hey, they are the youngins. They should have playful attitudes but Dolvett brings out the serious side of Vinny in a very tough workout session. Back in Texas, Bob takes Sunny to a farm to workout in 110 degree weather. She has to push a truck, toss heavy bags of manure, carry heavy bags of feed and her energy was awesome and impressive.
With Sunny back at the ranch, it’s time to hit the scale. Red team puts up some good numbers with Vinny pulling a 10. Blue team actually beats them, with a 12 pound loss between the two ladies. Black team weighs in, even though only Sunny’s weigh in will count. They all did well in light of the fact they were trainer-less all week. Antone had the least loss, only 4 pounds, but finally it’s time for Sunny to hop on the scale and she blows it up with a 14 pound loss putting the black team way out in front.
In an rather uneventful vote, Courtney is sent home and out goes her fridge light. Alison reminds her that she will be coming back for the marathon and still has a chance of being in the finals. I like that twist this season.
Next week, Halloween on the ranch and the possibility of no elimination. Also caught a glimpse of young love…my boy Ramon is falling!!! Sometimes losing is winning.

Bonnie (on BL) has annoyed me since day one. It seems that Anna is trying really hard to help her and Bonnie wants nothing to do with the whole opening herself up and changing her mindset stuff. This tells me that she won’t be successful at long term weight loss and maintenance. There have been many opportunities for Bonnie to talk to Anna but she chooses not to, then tells Anna at the weigh in that they have issues that need to be resolved … whatever!
Thanks for a great class last night Bonni – I will need to find my own Zen place next week 🙁
