“Put a smile on your face and you’ll feel better.”
Why it’s true: A study conducted at Carnegie Mellon University in 2003 found that happy people are three times less likely to get a cold!
I have been surrounded, just this past week, by lots of cold germs. Between being an “up close and PERSONAL” trainer and combining that with teaching classes inside “germ harboring” gyms, there is no getting away from germs. Lots of germs. I certainly hope that my combined regular exercise routine and lots of smiling will help my immune system fight the March cold germs. So far, so good.
There is so much for me to smile about in March. Next weekend we change the clocks and spring ahead. That is my favorite day of the year. That extra hour of sunlight in the evening evokes all kinds of happy neurological responses that date back to my lazy, carefree days of being a child. The extra hour of sunlight, combined with the lengthening days, means more outdoor grilling, more evening walks, more time AFTER work, to just enjoy life! It also means that spring is just around the corner. And for the basketball enthusiasts, March Madness, too! Hard NOT smile.
Have a great Sunday. The last one before the clock change is in effect. Whatever you do today, I hope you are happy and smiling.

I think Jillian does great things, but I am not sure she is Superwoman, either. It would seem to me it would take a lot longer than ONE week to change people’s behavior, but like you said, it is a tv show, so who knows.
I had to go back and read all the MOM entries. She IS always right!
