“Drink a glass of ginger ale if you have a stomachache.”
Why it’s true: Ginger has been proven effective at soothing queasy stomachaches, whether from motion sickness, pregnancy, the flu, or even chemotherapy. It’s credited with many other medicinal properties as well. One study showed that ginger was even MORE effective than Dramamine for those suffering from motion sickness.
So it’s a good idea to grab a bottle when you do your next grocery shop. Leave it in the pantry and give it a try instead of reaching for some expensive medicine that has potential side effects.
Have a happy, healthy, productive and yet still peaceful Friday. Remember that tomorrow night those of us that are in states that change the clock, spring ahead! A favorite day of mine, I am already celebrating.

Ginger is a great source for motion sickness. The Asian stores carry soft, chewable ginger candy which is a delicious and effective. I always have some in my purse when we travel. Also, the essence of peppermint aids with headaches and tension. Ah……..natural remedies are always the best. Thank you, Bonni for all your wonderful natural tips.

Rita was generous enough to share the peppermint aid with me in the form of a “stick”/roller (like a lipstick)…i use it on my temples and forehead when things get stressful…..
and Carole…i keep forgetting to tell you Mitch is making batches of PEACE SIGN ice cubes regularly and we have a bagful in the freezer…we add them to our drinks and love them! i will get creative and try something else in there soon….i am thinking of mixing a drop of fruit juice in (like cranberry or grape) to really make them POP ….thanks…
