No…no…no, not ME taking a naked yoga class. And, no…not me announcing I’ll be teaching one. But writer Alicia Oglethorpe found herself stepping way out of her comforting zone and taking it all off in a yoga class to do an article for Fitness Magazine. While I enjoyed reading the article, this quote sums up her biggest takeaway and one that I think can make us all feel a whole lot better. As a fitness writer, I am sure she knows that we (especially, but not only) women spend way too much time obsessing about our bodies, complete with all their imperfections. This morning I am hoping her experience makes us all feel a little better on the mat and EVERYWHERE.
“Being naked was a great equalizer. I could see that EVERYONE had belly rolls as we bent forward.”
Thanks, Alicia. Your bravery will help us all.
