Prepare for season 11 of the Biggest Loser, tonight on NBC at 8pm. There will be a total of 22 contestants, (11 couples) including a former Olympic gold medalist, Rudon Garder (474 pounds) as well as the largest weighing contestant to date, Arthur Wornum who starts the season at 507 pounds. The most interesting part of this new season, however, will be meeting the 2 new trainers, who NBC will not reveal ahead of the show airing. Various websites are speculating that the female is Cara Castronova, a two-time New York State Golden Gloves Champion, number 2 in the USA and an aspiring actress. No information on her credentials as a personal trainer have been found, but let’s wait to see if the speculation is correct before even commenting on that! Sites are also supposing that the male is Brett Hoebel, international fitness expert and one of the most sought-after weight-loss, nutrition and life coaches in the Big Apple. A 15 year “expert,” he has enough credential to share with the rest of the staff. I have to add that both of these individuals are pretty nice to look at…
In order to introduce the new trainers, (whoever they may or may not be) and make the show interesting, I have read that host, Alison Sweeney will off the 11 “couples” the opportunity to choose working out at the ranch with Bob and/or Jillian or working out at a secret location with the two new, unknown, trainers. If they choose the new trainers, they will receive 4 weeks of immunity while those that train at the ranch will risk risk elimination after the first week. Hum. Decisions, decisions.
Who will the trainers turn out to be? Who will the contestants pick to train with? Looks like we’ll know a lot more when we meet back here, tomorrow. One thing I know for sure is that watching the show will provide the motivational kick in the butt most of us are looking for this first week of the New Year. It always does for me!
