Last night’s BL contestants had the challenge of estimating a mile and planting their flag on the tile that matched their estimation. Each team used different ways to estimate a mile, some counting steps, some counting feet…I immediately thought I would start a light jog and keep it going for the one mile and use my watch and somewhere at about 12 minutes I would plant my flag. Now, with that said, I don’t know exactly how long it takes me to run one mile and I am sure at the end of the 12 minutes there would be a couple of tiles to choose from and it would still just be a guess. Next time I go out to run, I am timing out a mile…just in case I ever need to estimate, hopefully NOT for BL but this is still a good number to know 🙂
The winning team would win a night out in Hollywood and the losing teams would stay behind to clean the ranch. Black team nails it and Hannah, Jay and Rulon are not sure how to tell Bob as they know a night out will concern him. Of course it does as he tells them this is NOT a prize! He is happier for the losers, who will burn calories cleaning the ranch! Courtney stands alone as the red team and is concerned about what will happen to Brett if she falls below. She has been steadily losing less and less weight, last week just 2 pounds. Jillian talks with Rulon about his eating entire bags of chips and snacking during the night. She talks about incorporating these foods into his life, because that is REAL. I am not sure I am on the same page as her. The trainers seem to allow things for Rulon that they would never accept in others. Just my opinion.
Jay, Rulon and especially Hannah, look wonderful all dressed up for their night on the town. A limo awaits them and we see them at the walk of fame, Hannah in her gorgeous high heels that she says she was never able to wear before. They go to the Geisha House to eat and make really nice choices! I don’t think any of them ordered a drink and it looked like they were happy with their sparkling water, salad and fish. Some guy comes over to talk to them and Rulon and Jay excuse themselves as they think he is hitting on Hannah. That had to feel great for her! Somehow, back at the ranch, what usually looks clean, looked like a tornado wen through. Someone had a lot of fun trashing that place before the cleaning teams came in. I didn’t really understand Bob bringing them all burgers and fries, which they obviously did not eat. They talk about how many calories and how much sugar adding condiments adds. Personally, I traded my ketchup in for mustard on most things many years ago.
Last chance workout. Cara had her team doing some fire-fighter type training. Bob had his team doing 6 sets of some great classic exercises. I loved the workouts. But then, time for the weigh-in. Black team did an outstanding job, their night in Hollywood not hurting them AT ALL. I don’t love Jay, but he pulls good numbers every week. Rulon, still in the 300 hundreds after already losing over 150 pounds, pulls his weight (no pun intended) and Hannah lost 4 pounds, now down 80 and looking awesome! Blue team, however, beats them. Irene managed to lose 6 pounds. She has changed SO much and if she had enough to lose, I would think she could quietly pull off the whole season, but I don’t know if she has enough left to lose to compete with those big boys. Green team has weak numbers. All Courtney has to do to beat them and save herself (and Brett) is to lose more than 2 pounds, but -1 is all we see when the scale settles into its number.
The entire cast is upset that Courtney has to leave. The trainers are cursing and crying. Courtney’s girls (Irene, Olivia and Hannah) are hysterical. Olivia says she wishes she could trade places…Those girls are awesome and I hope to see Courtney’s girls in the final 3 though I am sure it will NOT end up that way. Courtney says she is cool with it and will be fine at home. Already down over 200 pounds, surely she is a BIG WINNER! She is also one of the most level headed, upbeat 22 year olds that I have ever seen. Alison also announces that Brett will be leaving, too. Not sure why they did it that way, but honestly, I won’t miss him or his jacket. Has anyone else noticed that he always wears a jacket??? Weird.
Next week they are off to New Zealand for a REAL challenge! Yay. Can’t wait. Before I sign off, I HAVE to say that I never have time to go back and read my daily entries. I hit spell check and fly off the computer to be ready for my first session of the morning. Occasionally, (like yesterday) I go back later in the day and reread my entry. YIKES. Lots of typos and spellcheck picking words it thinks are correct like their instead of there, etc. So unprofessional, but I don’t have a lot of choices when time is limited. So I apologize to those of you that cringe over spelling and grammar errors! If only I could blog for a living ………….but work calls! Have a great day.
