It’s hard not to notice all the pink (EVERYTHING) this month as it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. From professional athletes wearing pink accessories to bridges and building lit in pink lighting and of course ribbons everywhere, even in chocolate, we are really bringing a lot of attention to something that effects far too many woman (and men!) Here’s some really good news… 95-100% of breast cancer cases can be treated if detected early. Experts recommend that women above the age of 40 go for mammograms each and every year. If you are in that age bracket, or are at high risk, consider this just another reminder! Also, keep in mind the importance of keeping your breasts (and your entire being) healthy by maintaining a good BMI. Protect those tatas, ladies, and stay pretty in pink. Pass it on.

Thanks for the reminder…And for mentioning the importance of early detection.
While I AM a believer in alternative approaches to medicine, and medical care… the AMA has proven to me that they have a pretty good handle on breast cancer.
And self exams are every bit as important as those annual mammograms. If you feel something questionable get it checked out… The sooner the better!
