Last night on Biggest Loser we watched what happened while all the contestants spent a week back at home. Of course a package arrives (a huge one) from BL and they learn that they will be riding a stationary bike for 26.2 miles. This is a great challenge since the marathon bike ride was also their very first challenge 10 weeks ago. The first time, teams split the mileage but this time they were to each ride the full distance. There was a $10,000 carrot dangling for the first place winner of this challenge. The difference in their fitness level was over the top, once again proving how incredibly awesome the human body is! In the end “my boys” Sam and Koli pulled it out, coming in first and second place.
But along with the bikes came a box of donuts, each 100 calories. Every contestant had the option of not eating any donuts but for each one they chose to eat, they could add 5 minutes to another contestant’s time. This would prove quite interesting as a total of 32 cupcakes were eaten and 10 of them were for Sam who would then drop to last place 🙁 Too bad…I love Sam! Cupcakes were eaten for Stephanie, Drea, Sunshine and Daris but Koli, apparently not seen as a threat, had not a single cupcake eaten for him. He easily took first place and the prize. Way to go Koli.
After a kick-ass last chance workout, the real challenge always comes. The weigh in proved rather successful for everyone, as they all lost weight at home. This was not only good for the weigh in, but great for them to have learned that they can do it on their own. Daris lost the least weight at home, only 4 pounds, but had a great time and even took a friend out on a real date, something he had only wished for just 10 weeks ago. Several people pulled double digits, and of course two of those people were “my boys.”
But this week it was the under-dog black team would be victorious at the weigh in. Andrea lost the least, 6 pounds, which wasn’t at all a small number, but they needed to average 7 pounds each to win. Stephanie lost 9 pounds which allowed her to come in under 200 pounds! Great job, Stephanie. Beautiful (she looked so pretty at home!) Ashley kicked butt with a 10 pound weight loss and with only 2 pounds needed to win the weigh in, Sam soared them over the top, taking off a ridiculous 14 pounds in week 10!!! This was despite the fact his mom thought it was ok to cook bacon eggs, biscuits and gravy. What rock is she living under? I DON’T GET IT! By the way, Sam, at his current weight of 264 looks incredibly hot! I don’t think he has enough weight left to lose to win the whole competition, but I have seen others manage to get themselves thin enough to look like cancer patients, but win the quarter of a million so it remains to be seen.
The blue team is forced to send someone home and we say good-bye to Lance aka “Texas,” but it seemed like his time to go home. He felt terribly guilty about leaving his wife Melissa back home on their Texas ranch, to fend for herself and the kids. She has been his downfall since week one, but apparently they are a team and you can’t really fault that. We’ll see how that works out.
Next week we have a couple of interesting things happening. We will get to see how a surprise guest was inspired by the show and also see all the eliminated contestants come back. Apparently one will get to stay! Is it almost make-over week yet??? I can hardly wait.
It is amazing what a difference 10 weeks can make. To see how these contestants came on and see them again now is just mind-blowing. We have a little more than 10 weeks till summer. Imagine what YOU can do with your body between now and then?

Hi Bonz,
Wow, You posted an extremely detailed summary of the show. That was awesome reading!
It was sad to see Lance go. When he stepped off the scale he said ” well,I see I can do it at home” that’s when I knew he was leaving. He looks fantastic!
Hope everything else is going well in your world.
Love ya,
Pitza

I was thrilled that Lance went home. He and his wife can work together and live “happily ever after.” I loved the show. Sam is totally unbelievable. He looks fantastic. What a hunk! Ted and I had many teary moments as we watched, with amazement, at the transformation of these totally dedicated, highly motivated people. I applaud them and I am so proud and amazed at their progress.

Loved BL this week! I was so pleased for Daris, he truly took a life changing step this week – good for him! They all did so well at home and most of them even got a haircut and shave while away from the ranch – WooHoo! Sam & Koli ROCKED the bike challenge. Did you see Koli in the gym boxing with Bob? He’s an ANIMAL! My Black Team had an awesome week on the scale and Lance went home – BL nirvana for me 😉
BTW Bonni – you were right, you never know when someone could be watching you 🙂 I feel really proud that someone at the gym told me that they’ve been watching and admiring me and the way I work out. How Cool is That ?

Carol…that is VERY cool and you should be proud–but i am not at all surprised! and you see all those new people at the gym? I am CERTAIN they are looking at you and thinking “can I ever get that fit?” they will want to know that you once sat in the background and watched the same way—leading by example is a great gift that you can offer others–you become part of the chain of change! YOU GO GIRL!!! you can NEVER go backwards now 🙂 YOU HAVE TOO MUCH RESPONSIBILITY TO THOSE AROUND YOU!
