It seems wherever you live (at least in the USA) cold weather is passing thru this winter. There are some great, inexpensive gifts you can get your friends and family to stay warm while heading out for some exercise. I found really cute, fluffy and fun socks at Old Navy…and some fun gloves (in all kinds of colors and patterns) too. Yoga socks, with or without full toes, can certainly come in handy any time of year, but especially THIS time of year. I know they sell them in Whole Foods and of course are really easy to find online. A new sweatshirt or wrap (I have made tons of use out of a wrap that I got as a gift a few years ago) because you can never really have too many of those….lips glosses and moisturizing creams and anything that can be thrown in a gym bag, make great stocking stuffers, too.
Weather aside, people who workout regularly can always use a new water bottle, (thanks, Derek, for my new Bobble!) a new towel, (there are some out there that are made of really absorbent material, specifically designed to bring to the gym) new socks, sports bras, (I happen to love the ones that Target sells) workout gear and I still think P90X is a great gift for someone who sometimes skips the gym for a home workout. Make sure to look for that online as you can definitely get a better deal than ordering directly from Beachbodies.com. Carol had mentioned different colored wraps for kickboxing and though I don’t kickbox, I thought that was a great idea.
For the new vegan in your life, I love the book called HOW IT ALL VEGAN. Though I have quite a few vegan cookbooks and use most of them, HOW IT ALL VEGAN is my go to book, easy to read, fun pictures, nothing too fancy…those girls have some other books, too, but for some reason, this one is, in my opinion, the one to own. And of course, for anyone who has expressed interest in leaning into a plant-based diet, there is always THE CHINA STUDY.
And don’t forget the gifts that help bring peace to those on your list…from candles, meditation music, gift certificates for massage, (thank you Rita, I am looking forward to that!!) herbals teas, or the best gift of all, the gift of TIME–think babysitting– (perfect for parents with young kids!!) there is something in every price range to say help bring the MERRY to Christmas.
Before shopping, I’ll be at TFC with some new music circa 2010! Looking for the calorie burn this morning. See you there…or here…or somewhere! Have a great day and as always, I totally appreciate you stopping in for a little peaceaandfitness.
HAPPY GRADUATION TO NICOLE!!! CONGRATS!!!
