Well, here we are closing out the first half of 2021 already! Is time flying this quickly for everyone??
I wanted to let you all know that I have decided (at least for the summer months) to NOT collect food for Feeding South Florida, but instead will be sending them a monetary donation. There are multiple reasons for this decision, but mostly because as well as I can stretch a dollar, they can stretch it WAY further. I realize we all enjoy that feel good feeling of working as a team and seeing how much food we can collect and drop off, but the single most important thing is that hungry people get fed. If anyone wants to make a donation you can send a check to:
FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA
2501 SW 32nd Terrace
Pembroke Park, FL 33023
Please send to the attention of Michele Fernandez and put #F.F.I.T. in the memo area of your check.
Thank you in advance and thank you for all your support over the past 6 months!
Today we celebrate a huge milestone in our lives. Mitch is officially retired, at the end of the work day! I am eternally grateful that by him working in corporate America, he not only ALWAYS provided for the kids and me, but allowed me the luxury of my fitness business, which comes with NO (traditional) benefits. All of our oracle cards remind us that by being like beavers and laying a strong foundation, we can now reap the benefits. We are both very excited for the next chapter of our lives. While some aspire to travel and see the world, we are excited to see our loved ones — spread out across the country, keep ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually sound and peacefully enjoy all that nature gifts us with, right here in South Florida. Today, the 5:00 work whistle will sound extra loud and maybe even a bit early.
As if Mother Nature doesn’t shower us with enough gifts every single day, this one was quite appropriate, on this milestone day. Mitch captured this rainbow over our mango tree early this morning. I will end here, because a picture really is worth 1,000 words.

I love that photo of the rainbow………….I am sure Mitch will seek out his own pot of gold and live happily ever after.
