On this first morning of Chanukah and the beginning of the travels through the long holiday season, remember that the greatest gifts of all are the ones that come from the heart. While so many are financially challenged, and an entire quadrant of the country is attempting to recoup from the storm of the century, it is especially important to remember that some of the best gifts definitely don’t come from the mall. What a great time of year to rev up the practice of gratitude and remember that everyone appreciates kindness and compassion. Extend a smile, offer a hand, give a pat on the back. Expect less and appreciate more. Open your heart, offer forgiveness and keep in mind that no one is perfect, but during this season of miracles we all deserve peace and love in our hearts and this morning, that is what I wish for you. The greatest gifts can’t be wrapped!
