“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” — Rumi
In many ways, today is like the start of a new year. In much of the US, yesterday marked the unofficial last day of summer, pools closed, school years starting, etc. Our friends in New York have just harvested the remains of their garden, with enough basil to make pesto for EVERYONE! While Kyle and Nicole plan to do a little late summer traveling, Derek and Jolene are seeing new places together, while biking and climbing the hills of Southern California. Even as we have almost endless summer in the south, change is still in the air. Mitch repainted, his home office and then we put down new carpeting in there. (Both good workouts). While I am still swimming (and hope to for at least a couple more months) I am starting to do a little less of of that and a little more running. Wherever YOU are, today is the perfect day to start sowing the seeds of change.
Our friends at Gogratitude suggest we help spark the HeartFire within ourselves by revisiting inhaling love and exhaling gratitude…again…and again. They tell us that in our physical heart, our central HeartFire is surrounded by 7 layers of muscles that store every memory, emotion and experience we have. They go on to say that “these memories…carry an energetic imprint. If un-healed these imprints create what some might call veils, or barriers to the natural flow of Love in our lives.” By breathing love and gratitude we can help lift the veils and break though the barriers and hence let love flow more freely.”
One of the things I love about our 7 pm Tuesday class is that we positively impact our physical, emotional and spiritual selves. We’ll be working on softening those 7 layers of heart muscle tonight, along with the hundreds of muscles in the rest of our bodies! Come on out to class, find one near you or simply remember to take time for YOU to inhale love and exhale gratitude. Allow unhealed memories to come to light so that you can clear and even dissolve barriers to love. As those famous Beatles said so profoundly, not only “love is all you need,” but also that “love is the answer.”

That was such a beautiful blog. As you well know, the Beatles have always provided me with such happiness and contentment with their lyrics. Your thoughts, today and most days, truly touched my heart! Thank you!
