First and foremost, this morning, happy big birthday to the best sister a girl could ever ask for. From the time I was born, my big sister has been so much more than that. A wonderful friend, confidante and cheerleader (literally and figuratively) my wishes for her, today and every day, are for great health, happiness, love, laughter and peace. Love you muchly, Arlene!
Today is also day 4 of my daily Pilates challenge. Just adding as little as 15 minutes a day of this discipline, can truly change you from the inside, out. While a young student pointed out to me many years ago (and I never forgot!) I do NOT have scooped out abs, but–what I have gained from adding Pilates to my fitness routine is honestly too much to document. Suffice to say, it truly changes the way one moves through space. Years ago, a client told me her co-workers couldn’t quite figure out why she was gliding through the halls with such a new found grace. THAT is a great summation. You can find Pilates workouts all over the internet, many free of charge during the pandemic. I am considering adding some pop up Pilates to my backyard schedule, soon. If you are local and interested please let me know! I am continuing to keep my groups very small so we can easily social distance and still get in a great workout! Looking back to yesterday’s blog entry, Pilates might be one of the best immune boosters available!
While I realize many of you don’t want to enter an email address to comment, I would like to assure you that this site is pretty private and maintained my my son and me so you won’t get any emails from us. That said, I appreciate the FB comments and the private messages I am getting. A special thanks to Shelly F. for all the Trader Joe tips!!! Now I am excited to go back, feeling I have much more direction. Thanks for taking the time to do that!
Finally, I am begging you all to stay safe and respect this virus for what it really is. Here in Florida there are no state mandates (though I feel like that is about to change?) On a low day we have over 4,000 reported cases. Our high days have been up to over 10,000 cases and yesterday over 7,000 reported.
I commit to myself to keep politics out of this blog, but please, please, remember the most important thing to exercise is common sense!

First I want to say: I love this picture!!! You and Arlene!!!
And I’ll always remember meeting you at the airport, one visit, and you had visibly changed. You looked taller and somehow longer… I asked you about the physical differences and you attributed the change to Pilates. Whatta great and transformative practice!! ✌😍

Ha! Imagine me (or you) tall(er). It’s weird but I honestly, at one point, felt my toes were even longer. I will be curious to see how well all this combats the shrinking process! I love every time we meet you at the airport!!!
