This morning I will keep this brief and offer my deepest sympathy to Rita and the family and friends of her most special friend, Roz, who lost her well fought battle against cancer earlier today. Rita and Roz, Roz and Rita– as a pair, they taught elementary school together (team teaching) in Broward County for 30 years, positively impacting thousands of little people.
“To live in hearts we leave behind
is not to die.”
~Thomas Campbell
Though I only had the good fortune of meeting Roz once, her smile will forever be imprinted in my brain. What a smile! In honor of her and all our loved ones who we keep in our hearts, let’s get out there today and LIVE. As Lisa always says, and I repeat often, “We are all on our way out. Act accordingly.”
Rita says
My heart is aching, but I know that Roz is in peace. She fought ovarian cancer over 3 years. She impacted so many people in her 35 years of teaching in Broward County. She will be missed by many. We have been like soul-sisters for 31 years. Until we meet again…….Roz….this day is for you!

I’m certain Roz was lucky to have you in her life!
