So in his book, What are You Hungry For?, Chopra suggests a week’s worth of themes that invite countless ways to replace old habits and thoughts with new ones. We will take this day by day, so today being Monday, he suggests turning PASSIVE into ACTIVE. He says, “take any passive activity that occurs during the day–watching TV would top most people’s list—and substitute an activity, like taking a stroll around the block. Instead of riding the elevator, take the stairs. Instead of letting others do all the talking, change the conversation to something you are interested in.” Then take the time to reinforce the message in your mind: “Now I am being active.”
Hope this theme for the day helps you make minor shifts that will help make major change. It is the Monday after New Years. There are NO excuses left.
Thanks for stopping in. Make sure to come back tomorrow for the theme of the day. I love them and find they impact not just fitness and food, but every aspect of the day!
Let’s get moving! And speaking of moving–Good luck to Derek as he begins his new adventure in Sin City and his new position as well. Talk about moving!
