Adopting an attitude of gratitude is just good for your health. If you keep a gratitude journal, you are also likely to exercise more, have fewer aches and pains and feel more optimistic about life, than if you just ramble on about things that drive you crazy (and often don’t really matter much at all). Showing gratitude can make others enjoy being around you, too. Openly grateful people are seen as more generous and helpful by family, friends and co-workers. But what about when it comes to your partner? Well, turns out gratitude can work even better than Viagra at boosting romance. Apparently, expressing gratitude to your partner (and vice-versa) will make you feel more deeply connected and happier with one another…and those feelings will last well longer than a day or two.
Gratitude. It’s not just good for your heart and soul, but a great way to improve your overall health…and it feels a whole lot better to be thankful than the alternative! Never forget how much power you have over your own health and well-being. If something isn’t working right for you, take control of the wheel and change your path!
This morning I am already grateful for an alarm clock that never fails me, a good night’s sleep, water, hot coffee, my computer working so well, another day with my dog and cat (after a little episode with the cat last night), most of my Thanksgiving shopping done, some of my holiday shopping done, having Mitch on vacation all week, kids that are happy, healthy and terrific, a productive work day ahead filled with students and clients that I love spending time with, sneakers and music to choose from, pay day, gas in my car, knowing I will see Kyle and Nicole this week (and hopefully meet Gary and LeeAnn!), a beautiful sunrise outside, crisp (but not too crisp) air and, as I am every day, thankful to you who come in for a daily dose of peaceandfitness. Thank you. Your turn! While peacefully meditating on all the things we are grateful for is wonderful, writing them down is even better. Why not do it here, in the comment section and let us all do an exercise in sharing gratitude. Bet we will all feel better for it! Thanks….ready, set, go…

Today I am grateful that my son and daughter in law and 3 grandsons and their 100 lb doggy are on their way down to spend the next 4 days with us. I am grateful that my daughter has taken the lead on a family gift for my husband’s 60th birthday which is fast approaching. I am grateful that my youngest son just received a job offer for an internship starting in January – his first ever job in his field.
I am thankful for Bonni and each and every fitness instructor I have and the time and effort and energy they bring to my life.

Currently it sounds like WordPress is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
