Today, (Sir) Elton John’s book, Love is the Cure, becomes available for purchase. Watching his interview makes me not only want to run to buy and read the book, which I will, but also to be more, do more and give more. Still standing, after all these years, he is not just a musical genius, but a champion and hero for so many. Thank you, Elton, for Your Song(s) and for reminding the world about one young, courageous boy, Ryan White, who John claims saved his life. We have come a really long way with regard to both gay rights and AIDS research and treatment, but we still have a distance to travel. Perhaps this book will take us a little further along our journey, at least in the heart, which is probably where every important journey begins.
